Insight Series: CanaPux
January 31, 2018 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Join the Van Horne Institute for the first presentation of its 2018 Insight Series on January 31, 2018 with guest speaker, James Auld.
James is the Senior Manager of Corporate Development & Sustainability, with the Canadian National Railway (CN). He is also leading the development of a new bulk transport technology that may revolutionize the distribution of bitumen in Canada, called CanaPux.
CanaPux mixes and wraps bitumen with a polymer, turning the bitumen into a solid dry good to allow for its bulk movement by rail. By doing so, the transportation of bitumen using the CanaPux technology will lead to better spill response and an environmental-friendly way to reach new markets.
